Page 1 of Startrek instant translator has arrived

We have watched Startrek with its universal translator to understand Klingon, Vulcan  and even Ant and Dec 

At last the instant translator is going on the market this Autumn, as shown in the Gadget show this week.

Located in the US, a company called Waverlylabs are bringing out two seperate piece translating earplugs, one for each person, and it has 15 languages avaiable. Using sound recognition it translates the ongoing real time conversation.

Two things I have concerns with...

1...Not quite hygienic, as a stranger is using one in their ear. Would be better just as a rectangular box, that both people talk into.

 2.....Will likely not quite translate 100%, and end up similar to Internet translators on forums, that give you just the rough idea of the conversation, but that is better than nothing.
Not seen a video on it to know how good the translation is.
