What does this esteemed forum think of this...

Right, although not a `regular` * on here, I have lurked on this forum since the dark days** (7yrs 11 mths..or something- yes I remember the infamous `Nina` {please come back!}) soo.. don`t ignore this post (as tends to happen if your not in `the club`). I am not a spammer so the the link at the end of this post  is not spam, I am just curious about the claims they make. (plus I think there has been a lack of decent discussion on this forum for some time - no ones fault.)
I am awhere of course of streaming technology so I know it`s possible -but - 450 global channels of streamed HD content? Hmmm. Am I not correct in thinking that (for e.g. Sky HD / Beeb HD and so forth) don`t actually stream the full 1080p industry standard? Isn`t it more 450/720 or at best 1080i? And , as you need an internet connection only,( unless you`ve got a mega BB connection) that much streamed data would surely cause picture freeze and other associated problems? I`m sure there are many other questions that can be thrown up so..discuss?................or not?

It`s well, scam may not be technically accurate, but yeah, well scam. Big arse scam! It`s a get rich quick company with the cash to flood the Interweb with ads and fake reviews, and buy up Google pages worth of links...

I found this, genuine forum thread on it.

Basically, you`re buying into a software portal that gathers a wodge load of internet TV stations. A fraction of them will be in HD, most will be geolocked anyway depending on where you are, and you can find them yourselves if you put in the effort.

Bundling free TV streams and charging money for them is probably illegal anyway.

And yes, you need bandwidth to stream HD, try IPlayer`s HD stream, and Youtube and IMDB for some 720 and 1080 sources and see how your connection fares.

I connect at about 4MB and 1080 is a no-no for me. I can get a good steady 720 stream on a good day, if my Internet isn`t having an off-day.

Try

http://wwitv.com

for access to a lot of global TV content. For no money.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.
