Anyone know of a good/cheap online shop for Tassimo Pods?

Superted (Elite) posted this on Friday, 4th December 2009, 09:33

We are thinking about buying a Tassimo T85 (TAS8520GB) as our Christmas present to each other, have fancied a coffee machine for ages and this one seems to fit the bill nicely and has had some excellent reviews, plus it doesn`t only make coffee.

Best price I have seen it for is Argos for £136, Linky

Just wondered if anyone had a Tassimo and if you knew of anywhere online that you can get the pods, either where they have a good variety or the prices are good.

So far everywhere I`ve seen is the same range of pods and more expensive than the supermarket, generally the pods are about the same price but then there is delivery on top.

All the best

Gerald.

I have the original Tassimo, which unfortunately isn`t compatible with the newer range of pods. :(

I`ve never found a cheap source online and just stock up at the supermarkets when they are running special offers. Ours makes Twinings Tea (which I find a bit too strong), Kenko Coffee (good flavour), Suchard Hot Chocolate (nice), Latte (not bad but a small cup size), Espresso (never do this without the latte milk), and a Cappucino (also a stupidly small cup size). I think that`s it.

We used it loads when we first got it, but like so many other kitchen gadgets, it now sits on the side gathering dust. We have enough pods in the larder to keep us going to next Easter, but we rarely think about firing the thing up. We just keep switching the kettle on instead. :/

I`m lucky enough to have a bean to cup machine (I cite being of Italian extraction as my excuse for possessing my beast). It is used at least twice a day and I love it to bits. :x

Which one? How long have you had it? Is it reliable? Would you buy another? Does it give a good brew?

I can`t afford one at the moment, but if the finances improve it is on the `want to get` list. I used to have a Krups B2C but they wanted a ridiculous amount to fix the grinder.

Gerald, don`t know if this model is as good as the one you are thinking about buying, but curry`s have a red Tassimo machine with 40% off, £70.49p
saw the link at offer of the day
Linkie
Don`t wait too long, at that price I reckon they will sell out fast.
it says "Available for home delivery, Unavailable to Reserve&Collect"
Standard delivery is free.
Hope its what you are looking for

Thanks for that Pat, it`s a great offer, saw them for a similar price in Sainsburys yesterday.

The one we fancy is the newest model, they have made a few modifications to them, faster heat up, hotter water, quieter, britta water filter built in and a display to show you the progress of your drink instead of guessing when it will be ready.

Unfortunatly as is normally the case it is only the older models that were on offer. The one we want is still £136 in Argos with the Aluminium casing, will keep looking though.

All the best

Gerald.

So there`s a THIRD version now? Sheesh, we have the original, which seems so bulky and boring now!
