`Unclaimed` money

Something that crossed my mind today.
I`m sure some/most of you are the same, in that you have your paypal account, your online betting account etc.etc.
All probably/maybe have some money in them.
I can have tidy sums in some of them, on occasion.
My missus, whilst she knows I have them, doesn`t have the foggiest about log-in details etc.
She`s not particularly interested.
But what happens if one keels over suddenly?
What happens to the dosh that one`s spouse could be benefitting from?
Just curious.

you raise a good point as unless your next of kin know about your accounts then the company can keep the money similar deal to what the banks did with moeny from the second world war.

Maybe you should make a list and keep it with your will, as this would make probate so much easier.

mmm chocolate

On a similar theme, the same goes for Pay-as-you go mobile phones.

I was on T-mobile and left a phone for over six months without use, I had £15.35 pence balence on it, and lost the lot.

I have 4 mobile phones for different uses, and just forgot about that one, (it was in the car glove comparment all that time)

It seems there is a rule now, that if you do not use your phone for 6 months, you lose all the money and they stop the phone number.

Morale.. remember to phone once in a while, or lose it :D
