Page 1 of ShopDisc.co.uk and the mysterious £8 monthly charge......

After checking my bank account I found 3x £8 monthly charges ( well to cut a long story short ; )

This scam has nothing to do with ShoppingDiscount.co.uk but is related to a website that runs by the name of ShopDisc.co.uk or ShopperDisc.co.uk. This scam was first mentioned in September 2007 when the Guardian wrote an article (read it here).
It appears that when making certain purchases online, you are automatically agreeing to join a rewards website, that charge you £8 per month membership fees. Interflora is one of these websites that if you don't read all the small print, you are likely to miss and in theory, agree to join the £8 per month membership.

WHat exactly does the £8 membership give you access too?

Also, having read a number of the forum posts relating to this via the google link it seems that theis company arent putting up much of a fight when it comes to "refunding" something that people have signed up for due to not reading the terms and conditions etc - which as a rule would smack me as slightly strange.

Wonder if there plan is to get the dosh, bank it collecting interest on it with full intention of refunding whenever a complaint is received - obviously if someone doesnt spot it or never complains then they have an additional brucey bonus scenario

I joined from the LEDSHOPPE special offer thing` ( grits teeth ) but the thing is is that there are actually a LOT of firms who are doing this ?, I phoned the firm ( and was nice to the guy on the phone, and he refunded and cancelled me , I figured the guys FED UP with putting up with crap so not really fair to give him the double barrels !? )

The term you HAVE to remember is "£10 Cash Back Voucher towards a future purchase" that should get the alarm bell`s ringing, just DO NOT JOIN !?

100% of the time i just want to buy from a company, NOT have to spend 3 hour`s making sure I don`t click the wrong option on a 100 worded section !?

The thing is is that there are 100`s of annoyed people on the internet re this company and it`s underhand method`s....
