Sky Engineers assessment

miikeyblue82 (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 20th February 2008, 13:12

Recently applied to be a sky engineer, made it through the phone interview and got my assessment next week.
They`ve explained briefly what I should expect - anyone here done it before though? Anything I should be aware of?

For the love of god, remember to drill from the OUTSIDE to the INSIDE.
Lazy bastards will often drill from the inside, out. >:(
Which ends up with the spastic pushing a whole brick out of the front of my house, the wife not noticing, him f***ing off in a hurry and me having to claim off insurance....

The assessment`s a bit different, it`s not on your technical ability, that`s all in the training once you get the job. It`s a 50 minute interview, followed by a role play exercise, a ladder test and a medical.

Just wondered if there was any part of it I should be aware of.
Thanks for the tips for if I get it. Will remember the jeans thing, I guess that`s pretty vital.

Just like all interviews try to be relaxed and don`t tell big lies they can catch you out on. I assume role play will be customer and engineer? So get a bit clued up on what they do if you can. Ladder test? practice putting up ladders and going up with the necessay equipment ie steal your neighbours dish? Medical don`t be sick and relax when he tells you to drop your trousers and puts on glove.

Good luck. Hope you get the job.
