What, from the £5 or £7.50 it was when it started???

Whats the reasoning behind yet another inflation busting increase then?

why take life so seriously..its not like you are going to make it out alive

News bulletin says it has trebled.

I thought it was up to £8 a day now so that would be about a third of £25 quid. Did not detail any reasoning merely that from October the charge for these vehicles would rise to £25 a day

1) "reduce pollution
2) reduce traffic in central london
3) and most importantly increase the monies swelling the coffers by increasing yet another tax disproportionately

to cover my ass legally may i just say that points 1 and 2 are purely conjecture and not fact..................... err sorry thats point 3 is purely conjecture and not fact

:D

Not strictly true though, because one can easily buy cars that beat the congestion charge altogether.
Anything with a Co2 figure of <120g/km.
List of current cars that qualify here.
The list is being added to all the time.
Audi, for example, now offer a 5 door A3 diesel that qualifies for free entry to London.
That`s a perfectly acceptable family motor, not a little `puddle jumper`.
So they don`t want to discourage you entirely, just make it a bit cleaner in the process.
If they wanted to discourage you altogether, they would simply make it an indiscriminate `all car` charge.
Anyone wanting a model for low pollution cities should visit Florence.
Hydrogen buses, bays full of electric cars you can hire everywhere.
All light bulbs must be energy saving, by law etc.etc.
Quite amazing.

Load of cack, £25 what about people with small businesses with small van cars that can`t afford it?

Or people with MPV`s that actually fill them up?

I bloody hope someone pushes Livingston in front of a tube.

Just checked on the link that Bowfer posted...both my cars are under the 225g/km limit thankfully...surprisingly even the 3.2 Audi TT! (only by 1g though :D)
