Where`s The Strangest Place You Have Ever Slept?

I have spent the night sleeping in a graveyard, in the middle of a peat moss and in the top of a fire engine.

Anyone slept any place stranger.

Really!
I remember watching a programme about Narcolepsy. Serious stuff. They showed the AGM of the Narcolepsy society. Everyone was falling asleep so everyone was told to keep minutes of the meeting so they could sticth together a complete set at the end. As a TV reviewer said "it was like a sketch Monty Python never got round to doing"

I need a bed to sleep in so the weirdest place I slept in is quite boring. On the border to kashmir in Pakistan. Woken up by the loudest explosions I have ever heard. I thought "The Indians have invaded..The Indians have invaded.."
Er..no. Its just Thunder like I have never heard before.

One of our neighbours suffers from Narcolepsy.
It`s funny as f***. :D
You get some warning she`s `going`, coz she starts giggling like a drunk lush.
Then she`s off.
Just like that !
I`ve seen her do it on my sofa.
5-10 minutes later, she`s awake.
Weird thing is, she`s fully aware of what`s going on.
So fiddling with her ample pups is out.

Seriously though, it affects her marriage quite adversely.
Her husband is always having to rush home, coz the kids are being left unsupervised.
She`s supposed to take allotted sleep breaks, but she doesn`t.
She drives too.... :/

On a bench outside of Sydney Opera house!
Had to get to Sydney quickly as my dad had died but direct flights were all booked - took 39 hours to get there (via america!) had 2 hrs sleep upon arrival, went to funeral, four hrs sleep that night due to combination of it all. Went to Sydney next day, sat down and that was it --out for the count - wicked witch of a stepmother wasnt very happy!! Sure my dad would of seen the funny side and it was surprisingly comfy :)

Companies that have p**sed me off so much that I will never use them again and I hope you dont either....
Jacks Fish & Chips of Cambridge ridiculously overpriced and overpackaged chips. £1.20 for a stupidly small portion of chips - they need to go up north for a good lesson in fish and chips
Alloy Bodies of Manchester - The Grand Daddy & Benchmark for shockingly poor customer service.
Capital Bank Leasing who are part of [B]BOS
& are f**ing useless & struggle to action the smallest request but are fantastically efficient at taking money out of my account
[B]Abbey National
Absolutely diabolical service - how hard is it to change £60 of coins into notes????
....more coming soon no doubt.....

:o
Its all going to kick off.

My best mate a penchant for falling asleep in "comfortable looking" gardens on his way home. And this happened a few times when he hadn`t been drinking.
The walk between my gaff and his was about 6 minutes or so. But if it came over him a nice patch of grass or bush made a great bed. Sometimes it would be for a few minutes and one night a few hours! In December!!

Now the walk between out houses would take several days - so no worries of him doing it.

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad

In the late 60s/early 70s when my dad was young and foolish and working as a silver service waiter at a posh hotel in that London, he was so drunk (not unusual it must be said) on his way home from a night out that he went to sleep in a "comfortable-looking" "park". Nope. Traffic roundabout. Woke up with a start a few hours later still half drunk, half hung over, half asleep and had to negotiate 2 lanes of rushhour traffic! :D

I fell asleep in a pub toilet one new years eve and woke up however many hours later locked in ...sadly the pumps were turned off so I had to survive on crisps, nuts and bottled beers while I planned my escape, which involved jumping from a first storey window

I also fell asleep on the back of a truck at a traction engine rally ..luckily it didnt go anywhere during the night :D
