Bought a pair of trainers 2 days ago......

skirpy (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 5th July 2007, 21:17

Bought these trainers 2 days ago from Oki Ni for £110......i dont usually pay this amount for trainers but i like the style and colour of these.

Tried them on today and had a look at the site again....Now only £55 :o

Thats a bit annoying isn`t it >:(

Surely they might have let a new first time customer know they were planning a sale?

Do you think its worth e-mailing them and having a moan or is it just tough-luck.

Cheers!

Skirpy, get yer head tested first. A 50p pair of Chinese trainers for £110-00. I wouldn`t give £10-00 for them...or any trainers. I like trainers but I won`t pay that for them.

gutted.. nice trainers, but what f***ers... I always keep stuff before i wear it, just slackness on my part.. doesnt help you though.
i was in the vans shop the other day and as i was paying for my shoes i saw that the other assistant was marking up loads of "sale" tags. so i said, these wont be in the sale will they?
and the girl said, "no.. i think its just clothes."

next day the c***ing things were in the sale. but because they are still in the bag in a corner of my room, i can sort that out.

earlier this year i bought some ltd edition puma clydes - with the dollar design from the Hanon shop. As far as i know they are all sold out everywhere now - there were 500 of them... they look a bit long on, but I have kept them in the box.. might sell them, might not.. i figure i wont lose any money on them (*note to self.. get something else to f***ing focus on...)

if i was you i would ring them up, explain how annoying it is, say you would have been a big repeat customer - not everyone pays over a ton for sneaks.. point out that you wont shop there again. if you do buy a lot, name drop or whatever.. they need people like you...

and then question them on how the distance selling regulations apply to trainers that have been worn - with the reg;s seven day cooling off period rule.

its gutting to lose over fifty quid over night. make it your mission to demand satisfaction.

trendy trainer w***er toss faces. i always like the shoes, but not the scene.

Return the ones you have for a refund and buy another pair....unless you have worn them out of course.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies!

I wore them for 10 minutes walking down to the shops so now they have dirty soles, i normally dont spend any more than £60 for trainers and they are usually ones that have been reduced.

I get embarrassed going back into a shop to complain ....i suppose an e-mail wont be so hard to do.

Cheers!

write down exactly what you want to say, run through it a couple of time, out loud. then call them and say what you want to say. sometimes emails arent good enough...

Aren`t you covered by the distance selling act ???
It allows 7 days for returns, pretty much without quibble.
All you have to say is you tried them on,walked around a bit,and found out they were uncomfortable for you.
Wollop,that`s that sorted. 8)
