Help needed! - flight time difference query

mercury1 (Competent) posted this on Tuesday, 30th January 2007, 10:39

Hi there. In the throws of looking / booking next year`s big holiday to Florida (need to do it now to give time to save up etc.) and looking at the flight part of things. As there are no flights as yet for next year I am basing times and cost etc on this years services as a rough guide. Anyway here is my query.
We are planning to go for 3 weeks so need (naturally) a 3 week flight. The flights I have seen thus far take off from, lets say, Edinburgh at 13.15 on the 16th July, stop at Atlanta at 03.15 on the 17th (seventeenth) then take off again at 20.20 on the 16th (sixteenth) before touching down at Orlando at 21.44 on the 16th. My query is how long is the plane down in Atlanta. I have been to Florida before but can`t remember the time diff etc, think it is 9hrs but don`t want to make a twat of myself on phone.

This is all pie in`t sky remember.

cheers

Florida is 5 hours behind GMT, as is Atlanta.
