Sky Digital

I was just wondering if anyone was having trouble with picture quality on Sky digital, we have just watched Liverpool v Man U it was a great game but it was almost unwatchable due to picture and sound break-up. We have had the engineer out at least 3 times in the last 6 months about this problem and it seems fine when he goes, but after 5 or 6 weeks the problem reoccurs.
Also the 1 year garantee is up so do we now have to pay if an engineer is called out?

Fine for me too.

Au contraire! It makes a refreshing change to see the Scummers get whipped. Even if it does mean that Wes Brown loses even more points for my fantasy football team <mutter mutter>

I had a great recedption along with the great result of Barthez keeping his hundred percent record of losing against Liverpool.

My box kept on locking up intermittently which meant you had to switch off/on at the mains to get it going again. Rang Sky and they said they`d send an engineer out to sort it but it`d cost 50 quid, told her to go bollox.

Rang back next day to cancel my account and when they asked why I told them that it was knackered, I wasn`t prepared to pay for it fixing and you could get ITV digital installed cheaper. So they replaced my box for free, result.

I had a black grundig (i think ) box and the engineer reckoned these were prone to going wrong, replaced it with a nice shiny Pace unit which matches my DVD player, happy now.

Basically, its in Sky`s interests to keep you on a subscription and absorb the cost of reparing your unit, they`re just moneygrabbing bastards out for as much as they can get.

This is an absolute classic and just goes to show what you can achieve with a little bit of cheek. I`m also having trouble with my sky locking up not being able to change channels etc... it`s also out of waranty so i`m going to try this aswell (fingers crossed i get the same result). I`ve my box since the first week digital came out so i think i deserve one.
