Don`t care. They are as bad as each other and to be frank let them get on with it.

This is a dificult one. On a regular basis your nieghbours kids mates keep on coming round next door and throwing stones over the fence (narrowly missing Nick). Do you in the end throw them back knowing that the kids who did not throw them are there?

Exactly my thinking, Hezbollah are i`m sure firing from civilian areas but a 1st world country like Israel should be and is aware this is the situation but continue to bombing these areas only inhabited by civilians because the cowards firing the missiles are long gone!

Israel arguably has similar military might and technology as Russia or France but i`m sure if they were aerially bombarding a (hypothetically) 3rd world Ukraine or Luxembourg so irresponsibly there would be a massive world outcry.

I thought it was poor of the Israeli government not to honour the 48hrs aeriel ceasefire they promised, it would have been good to get some independent UN observers in to investagate the Quna massacre as i`m sure both sides are propagandering.

btw this is all IMHO

I read the other day that there is a 10 year old UN resolution that insists that Lebanon must take full control of the South of their Country from the Hezbollah.
The resolution was drawn up to prevent Israel going in and kicking the s*** out of Hezbollah risking innocent lives. Throughout the 10 years, rockets have been fired daily by hezbollah into Israel, increasing more recently, hence the massive Israeli response.
Unfortunately, Syria, with a strong military presence in Lebanon until recently, stopped any progress Lebanon tried to make.

The UN I believe have failed Lebanon and are responsible in many ways, shame on them!

The BBC coverage is the most offensively biased pile of s*** I have seen in years, they are extremely selective and sickeningly anti-israel.

My thoughts go out to the innocents on both sides of the border.

Neil.

I personally don`t agree with and if that is the case then the associated press of America is the most pro-Israel biased news outlet i`ve seen in a number of years

I don`t think you will ever find a neutral source on these stories from any news agency simply because it`s such a contentious issue for so many people, the journalists, editors and the readers themselves, i try to read about one issue (eg Quna) from a number of different news sources and just make my own mind up

PS @ Niel: Are you talking about BBC online news coverage or the televised news as well? Because i would debate that ITV has a very similar output, the only one i would pick out as being blatantly anti-Israel is CH4 news

I don`t doubt that.

Online, News 24 and 10pm news. I 100% agree with you, but I always feel that the BBC have a greater responsibility than ITN, which is why I picked on them.

I think news organisation should tell us what has happened and not try to give a spin, angle or opinion. They make celebrities out of the correspondents like the John Simpsons and Jeremy Bowens of this World, when in fact all they need to do is tell me what`s happened...I don`t want to see the patronising face of John "buckethead" Simpson or here is personal opinion...and certainly not the main news....

Let Panorama be the vehicle for their gigantic egos.

Neil.

This whole thing stopped being about those 2 soldiers a very long time ago. now all we need is iran to give Hizbollah(sp?) those nuke`s they`ve been developing under the guise of nuclear energy and WWIII is in full effect.

Isn`t it about the creation of states and the Palestinians wanting one, in pretty much where the world told Israel it should be.

Quarts and pint pots, spring to mind.

Interesting that Palestinian sympathetic countries aint willing to give up any of their hard won soil to the Palestinians :/

But when innocents suffer its bad
