when I used to subscribe to film four (many moons ago) they didnt show ads during the films, but now its free I cant see how it can be without having ads in the films....

On sky they have been plugging the movie channels with ads showing that their movie channels dont show ads in the middle of the film. A slight dig at the fact that whilst Film4 is going free it will be showing ads during movies.

Considering the channel is free I don`t really see the ads as being a problem. I think its a great addition to Freeview, and I`m really looking forward to seeing what they offer.

Given that it`s free, I dont see how anyone can complain. Plus, I hear that the first cinematic image that they will show free is Scarlett Johansson`s ass, at that is the first thing in Lost in Translation. How can this be a bad thing?

Scarlett`s ass is good, Lost in Translation isn`t! Have you seen her in Match Point? Phwoar! Any idea what else is going to be on?

If Buck Rogers floated in space for 500 years how come his new world is full of crappy 70`s special effects???

I cant see that it would do, to be honest. They never show `big` films, more cult and forgotten gems, which I wouldnt imagine would be that expensive. Tonight, for example, the line up is The Seventh Seal, Waking Life and Celine And Julie Go Boating.

Whether or not you think their line up when it goes free is pretty subjective, but I dare say it will continue along similar lines.

He`s either `angry` or `confused`, almost without fail.

Bit like a bi-sexual teenager.
