Argos & TheDVDforums

I know Argos used to be an affiliate of those forums, and for some reason didn`t give them a good deal and so the Forums threw their rattle out of the pram, and have stopped using them as an affiliate

However, can anyone rationally explain why they won`t even allow a single mention of the store`s name anymore?

For example, if someone spots a really good bargain to take advantage of at Argos, they are prohibited from letting others know about it because the forums won`t get their cut!!?

Also, a funny news story about a 49p TV & DVD player was closed because it simply mentioned Argos

I know the forums are a little bit backward in terms of their control and censorship of what you can say (heaven forbid you don`t lick Trekker`s butt) but this is a bit of a joke!

Because the people who run the DVDForums are a bunch of Nazis. Looked in there when I first got into DVD and left fairly sharpish. I`ve been back several times since then in the hope that they`ve lightened up, but no such luck. There terms and conditions of use boarder on the offensive.

A lot of the people on the DVDForums act like Nazis. I asked the mods on the forum to delete my account details because I was disgusted by a flame campaign that had greeted a comment made in innocence by a former contributor to these forums

SPOILER:
It was Rik setting himself up for a fall as usual.

The sheer vitriol aimed at him was shameful, and just shows even when the folks around here are being nasty, they`re comparative pussycats. I emailed the admin of the board with my viewpoint, and got a torrent of abuse back that questioned my mental abilities, parentage and membership of the species.

So I say f**k `em (and they`d ban me for saying that) :B

They`ll ban you for so much as mentioning Movietyme.

Been a member on there for a while, but only post on the Books and Sports forums, use mainly for the Bargain forum, but never had the community feel that this site does (Been here for 5 years, yet posted less than 1000 times :( )

They act like the bloody thought police. Not a good advert for their websites as a whole really.
