Lost (Spoilers if you haven`t seen Ep 18 yet)

Don`t bother posting if you know the answer, speculation only please, I don`t want it ruined for me.

Now that we know the woman and her colleagues were shipwrecked there because of those numbers, and Hurley had heard them as well before his lottery win, anyone had any thoughts about what exactly the island is, and why certain people are there?

And who exactly laid an electricty cable and set up a transmitter prior to the ship being wrecked there?

I am really enjoying this series (although truth be told, there are some dull bits), but will be really dissapointed if we don`t get some answers in the next three episodes.

There are thousands of rumours circulating the net about where the series is going...

Some say the hatch that Locke and Boone found is extra-terrestrial, though I hope this isn`t true as it would seem like a huge cop-out to me.

The monster appears to have taken on a more philosophical meaning than just being a scary creature... if it weren`t for the pilot being munched on in the first episode I`d be convinced the monster wasn`t real.

I`m liking how the character backstories are beginning to be linked to each other (Jack`s dad and Sawyer, Hurley owning the box company Locke worked for, etc...).

I personally have no idea where the plot is going or what any of the possible answers could be, but there are strong rumblings of the final episode ending with the death of a much-loved character. Given that it`ll supposedly be Hurley-centric episode and that he has a new-found link to the plot, it`s not looking good for the Mr Reyes...

It sucks that the next episode isn`t for six weeks though... but it is a Locke episode so it`ll almost certainly be worth the wait!

Six weeks!?!?!?!?!? Aw nuts!

I know that IMDB is full of peoples speculation on what is going to happen, but at least one person on there has been posting spoilers for future episodes so I am staying well away.

I missed the link between Locke and the box factory, well spotted.

Yep, just watched it... it was great apart from the video errors (especially near the end). Or was that just my copy?

SPOILER:
The end where Boone found the radio was totally gripping, and the Sawyer sub-plot was hilarious. Evangeline Lilly has the cutest smile!

I really hope the season finale wraps up some of the plot threads though, or else it`ll go the way of The X-Files.
