Is your collection a predictable range of Hollywood Blockbusters?

Stuart McLean (Reviewer) posted this on Wednesday, 4th February 2004, 20:11

Hey! How come whenever anyone offers up a link to their DVD collection it always looks identical to everyone elses?! It always seems to be an entirely predictable mix of Hollywood Blockbusters with a few `Friends` `Simpsons` discs thrown in for good measure! Now, I`m not knocking any of these things - love them all as I do - but surely there must be some interesting, left of field, esoteric oddities in your collection?

What`s in yours? 8)

have a peek of mine then...er..as it were. There are some of the usual suspects, and indeed there is `The Usual Suspects`, but I think I have a few that aren`t necessarily in everyone`s collection (Incidentally..I think the `adult` warning is just for the Caligula Uncut...possibly)

My collection, currently standing at 185, is fairly mixed - some typical blockbusters/usual suspects, some more left-field. However, I dare someone to possess more Friends DVDs than I do! :-D

Glad you like it Stuart!

Rather fond of it myself :-)...there should be a few Criterions coming in soon as well..although two are from DVDPlanet and I don`t hold out much hope.

Tarka the Otter?! The original -- or the recent re-make. If it`s the original then I apologise once again! ;)

Yeah, I guess the anime passes as out of the mainstream. You`re through Sir Ogster!

Rik - I guess I`d have to concede that Elephant Man and Citizen Kane aren`t particularly mainstream. And Jackie Brown is one of my all time favourite movies....

I guess my generalisation doesn`t apply to you either! :/
