TCM on SKY where`s it gone?

Paull (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 6th January 2004, 17:42

We have 2 Sky digiboxes but no longer subscribe. Today on both boxes on channel 327 (TCM) it says "This programme is not available". Anybody know if this is a problem or permanent.

Thanks for checking. Well thats the last good reason for keeping these useless lumps of tin described as Satellite receivers. Off to buy free to air Satellite now with magicard, get 24 the lot quicker than SKY.

TCM has changed over to being part of the Family Pack, so no longer available FTA/FTV.

This is the reply from TCM to my email to them.

Thank you for your e-mail. TCM will no longer be free to air on SKY, but will become part of their Family Pack.
The reason for doing this is to bring TCM in line with Turner`s other entertainment channels and will enable us to deliver an effective service and better control of our signal.

"TCM is available as a paid package on SKY, Telewest and Ntl. Please see our website tcmonline.co.uk for further details.

If you wish to subscribe to TCM please call one of the following cable & satellite providers:
SKY: 08702 40 40 40
Telewest: 0800 953 5383
Ntl: 0800 183 1234
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and trust you will continue to watch TCM - the home of unmissable movies."

Having subscribed to SKY since they started & now just stopped. I`m hardly going to pay to watch TCM.
