Whats the most expensive DVD you have ever bought? Box sets included

mattwhite1 (Elite) posted this on Monday, 18th August 2003, 11:31

I was amazed when looking through ebay.com at the prices paid by people for DVDs. I have seen Scarface change hands for the equivalent of £100 and when it first came out Family Guy for the same sort of price.

Personally, the most I have ever paid for a DVD is £19.99 (before I had internet access) for a standard disc, or £67.99 for Star Trek Movies from play.

What is your most expensive?

Buffy season two when it first came out - not only was there the full whack, but I also got collared with import tax - i think the final cost came out to around £70

It is an expensive hobby.

Most I`ve spent on a single disc was £35 for an import version of Versus, a japanese horror/action movie which was fairly hard to get ahold of at that time, think it`s since been released on R1 DVD cut to shreds tho.

X files season 1 (R1), bought it on Amazon.com, I think it was £80 but got stung by customs so ended up paying over £100 for the bugger. Worth it tho ;)
