Page 1 of picture messaging?

Thinking of getting a camera phone but just wondered if anone knows about the restrictions on picture messaging. Can you only send pics to people with the same phone or who are on the same network etc?

the person`s phone needs to be able to receive picture messages. The person`s sim card needs to be able to receive picture messages. Some sim`s aren`t set up for this automatically but a quick phonecall to the service provider will get that switched on.
It`s not network dependant. You can send picture messages from any network to any other network.

Actually my wife is with T-Mobile and has been told by them 3 times now that the person receiving must have the same phone and be on the same network or you can forget it.
If she sends it to a different phone it simply sends a URL which you can then use to see the grainy poo-quality pictures.

Maybe this has now changed but the last time she asked was 2 weeks ago....

Hehe, mate of mine took a picture of us at a wedding with his big-ass Nokia (the slidey back camera one) a while back. Sent me the URL, it looked like it was snowing at the wedding, pile of sh*te. Then he got robbed later on for the phone, waving it around when he was drunk.

I hope technology has improved, you can keep yer stinkin camera phones otherwise. Anyway, I don`t want my boss to see me at home when I am telling her I am in a meeting. Ye gods man!
