Is there a site anywhere on the net to buy region 1 dvd`s and can pay by cheque???

Must admit that I don`t know of any, but I believe that sites like Play247 and MovieTyme will take debit cards such as Switch/Delta. Couldn`t comment further as I`ve never used them.

If any R1 suppliers do take cheques then I would think that it`s only likely to be those that are UK based (like the two mentioned above).

Play 247 take Delta and Switch. Service excellent.

Disc Emporium will take cheques. The prices are higher than Play 247, but service is good and the Region 1 selection is much bigger.

Try http://www.discemporium.com/

There is also a firm called US Direct, based in Bradford, who take cheques. No web site, but they advertise in most of the DVD and Home Cinema mags.

Hope this helps.
