The Dreamcast tried so hard to bring Sonic into the 3D world, and almost succeded, especially some of the imagination that went into Sonic Adventure - pure class. Anyway enough babbling;

Man we so need a version of Outrun on these new consoles! Sega did a compilation disc for the Saturn years ago with that and Afterburner and Space Harrier, Please re-issue!!!!!!

But one i really want to see from the MegaDrive? Any gamer with a good mind would want to see Gunstar Hero`s on the PS2 or Gamecube. Man that game was just so amazing, and had the MD performing graphical and musical tricks that blew everyone away. Treasure, where are you now??

Yes, I want more Treasure stuff! Last I heard they had something in the pipeline for the Dreamcast, but I don`t know what happened to that. For me their finest hour was Radiant Silvergun on the Saturn - an update of that would be superb.

What I want most of all, though, are some worthy sequels to my favourite platformers - the Sonic, Mario and Wonderboy series.

The last "proper" Sonic game was Sonic and Knuckles on the Mega Drive, and none of the subsequent games on the Saturn and Dreamcast have captured that "Sonic feel", even though some have been superb in their own right (Sonic R and Sonic Adventure). I know there have been some "old school" Sonic games for the hand-held machines, but I`d love to see a snazzy new 2D Sonic sequel on the PS2 or XBox.

Super Mario World on the SNES is one of the best platform games ever - I`ve been waiting more than 10 years for another "classic" Mario outing. (Mario 64 on the N64 is great, but really a totally different type of game.)

And Wonderboy - the last we saw of that little chap was "Wonder Boy in Monster World" for the Mega Drive. About time he made a comeback!

I second classic Treasure titles. Treasure is still around, making great games, notably nextgen titles. They did N64 stuff too.

I want Dynamite Headdy! Rocket Knight Adventures, Gunstar Heroes, Contra (Probotector), Alien Wars and my favourite pinball game, Dragons Fury!

How I wish I kept my Sega CDX.... :-(

Anil,

Funny you should netion that :-)
I bought one of those Multimega things with a 32X add on from ebay some time back. I have all the games you mention, Dynamite Headdy was pure genius, but needed a lot of playing and thought, which i think put a lot of `casual gamers` off.

Aaaah, Dragons Fury, made by Technosoft i do believe? Speaking of which, remember ther Thunderforce series on the megadrive, man Thunderforce 4 was just superb! Lets see that on PS2, 2D only please!

Yeah, I`ve got the Outrun/SPace Harrier/Afterburner disc for the Saturn and it is great. I`ve also got the disc with all the Sonic games on which is also rather good...

We also need a new Gauntlet - the N64 version is good fun but a remade top-down four-player version with internet support would be fantastic.

And obviously Fort Apocalypse

Westy, yeah it was Technosoft`s game. Thunderforce! Classic (and hard)game. Thunderhawk on MegaCD was the best MCD title IMO. :-) Core`s finest moment. Virtua Racing on 32X, that was interesting...

I wouldn`t mind a bit of Dropzone or Buggy Boy either! Super Hang On on the Amiga was a favourite too...all these lovely games!

A proper old sytle multiplayer Gauntlet would be tops. Hooking up over the net to find new players, also a multiplayer SmashTV might be good fun. :-)

Lastly, could I have Graftgold`s Paradroid for the GBA please so I don`t have to keep using my C64 emulator. Nice one, cheers!

I love nostalgia...sometimes.
