But could you?

All the best,

Hope you`re ready for Shaolin Soccer - my advice, if you enjoy the odd J then smoke `em if you`ve got `em because SS is an absolute riot...

I`ve ordered Battle Royale & Shaolin Soccer (amongst others) from ddd too (thanks to Clayts` good advice).

This is a question for Clayts......have you ever had trouble ordering from ddd? I ordered my dvd`s at the weekend but got an e-mail today saying the order had been cancelled due to credit card probs.

I phoned my credit card company who said that there is nothing wrong and they can`t see why the order hasn`t gone through (apart from that sometimes electronic transactions can be a bit hit and miss due to various factors).

I`ve put the order through again so I`ll see what happens (suppose there is always that chance that I made a mistake putting my card number in...y`know...acting like I can type fast competently!).

Anyhoo, just thought I`d ask because I know that there`s nothing wrong at this end and wondered if it had ever happened to you?

I`ve ordered from other dvd retailers in the past without any probs whatsoever!

I`ve got a bit of a sulk on now!

Cheers.

So Clayts, did you witness "The Best Movie of 2001™" yet (sorry Mr. Jackson), a.k.a. Shaolin Soccer?

Which would be the better version to get? The Tartan R0 or the Universe R3? My VCD is half dead now and I want to upgrade to a better picture. Basically which has the better features, picture and sound. I`ve heard a lot of people moan about the transfer, subtitles and sound on the R0 version but the R3 version is only letterboxed. Any comments would be nice...

I`m more than happy with the R3 version. The transfer isn`t any worse than the Tartan release (from what I`ve read), even if it`s not anamorphically enhanced. The DTS & DD soundtracks on the R3 disc also rule - much better than the stereo only Tartan disc. It`s only about £8.50 to import, which is significantly cheaper than the R0 disc...

Subs are pretty good on the R3 disc, with only a few instances of `whacky` grammar.
