Page 1 of Predator Special Edition ?

I`ve read on a couple of sites that there is R2 2 disc- PREDATOR comming out soon over here ? But there is no mention of it on this site, or any of the other major ones. Is it just a rumour ? Or has it been confirmed ?

I need to know soon, because I was gonna buy the R1 disc, but im not so sure if I should now.

I haven`t seen a confirmed date for this or seen it mentioned yet in trade lists. But Fox have a history of messing up UK releases of this ilk and chucking them out heavily cut, so maybe you should wait and see either way.

From what I`ve heard, Fox are giving it the 5 Star treatment in the US. I`d say go for region 1 when it`s released, the R2 version will take time and may be cut, again.

There`s nothing here to confirm which region this is for.

I read on a different site (dark horizons) that it was comming to region 1 first.

Ive known about this for quite a while and if the past is anything to go by then I dont think we will see this on Reigon 2 :(

It will be coming out on a fox 5 star special edition set next year along with lots of other classics :

These are the confirmed releases so far, and MASH the movie has also just been released on 5 star.

5 star editions havent done well getting over to Reigon 2, and when they get here u dont get them as "5 star editons" in the nice hologram ish package. I know Sound of Music and Indipendance Day have both made it to Reigon 2 with "most" of the extras the 5 star editions feature, but I know Die Hard and Cleopatra will also be making there way to Reigon 2 soon. So maybe in enough time we will see the 2 disc edition of Predator on reigon 2, if you wanna wait long enough that is. My advice would be to buy the 5 star edition it is in better packaging, more extras and you will get it at least 6 months earlier than reigon 2 :)

Are you sure you`re not mixing Total Recall up with True Lies? Total Recall SE is out already!

I know Fox are planning a True Lies 5 Star (by Mr V Ling no less!) for the new year.

Predator SE will be released in Region 2 before 1. There are no plans that I have heard of for the R2 upcoming SE to also be made into a R1. McTiernan had more time to create a SE of Predator after finishing the Die Hard set (which came after the dts R1 had already been released).
