Hi people i need some help i av a cousin who is doin a media course and she is writing a piece on horror films and im useless with horror films and im wondering if anyone knows any films that start like the beginning of scream were she is being chased and the house is on fire

The film that comes closest is the 1979 version of When a Stranger Calls: the first act surrounds a babysitter who`s menaced by a stranger who makes threatening calls. This was expanded into the plot of the 2006 remake.

Thats the reason we end up with rubbish like the new "Robin Hood" and "Torchwood" you either have it or you dont.

I would reccomend she watches "Black Christmas " (1974)

if you dont mind me asking, why does the film have to specifically start with a young lady getting chased in a house on fire?? its pretty specific for an assignment for media studies!

i think me cousin was told to choose a film to work from and she has chosen scream since she has seen the film and know a bit about it so she is comparing the film to other films last week she was asking me about certain victims askin if there were any films were the victim dressed tarty or prim and proper
