Pretty much impossible...unless you`re prepared to pay double or triple the price from the oh-so generous people who bought more than one copy. I pre-ordered it from Play247 in May, on the day it appeared on their web site - it`s one of the DVDs I`ve been waiting for. I looked at their website yesterday, which said it had sold out...I also looked at my account, and my order hasn`t been processed, so I can only assume that some lucky people ordered minutes before me! (I also emailed them, and the replied saying they`re trying to get hold of some more copies, so again, I can only assume that I wasn`t one of the lucky few). Ah, well. Not the end of the world.

I also looked at Amazon.com, etc. and all inform that it has sold out. Much as I want it, I`m not prepared to pay over the odds to satisfy somebody`s selfish desires, so to speak.

If they bring out the two disks in a plastic case, I`ll be happy. I think I can live without the tin, but it would be nice to get hold of both disks.

Hodge.

Just phoned play247.

Could not get enough Limited Ed. They are getting the special editions in mid week next week. These will be shipped instead if you ask them to. (I think, maybe they will do it automatically, but that is a bit of a liberty if you want the limited edition only).

Does the special edition have both disks - ie, the same but without the tin?

The only thing missing is the metal box, the disks are identical.

Akira has now disappeared from play247 (unless you have it in your order list already). It seems that the film was a tad popular, it was top of the best sellers yesterday). I wonder if they are trying to avoid getting any more orders.

That`s fair enough then - if the disks are the same, I`ll just hold out for that. No great loss, after all - it`s the contents I`m interested in.

Cheers for the info,

Hodge
