Page 1 of The Phantom Menace :-((((((

`ve got to say it but when the original star wars 1st came out i queued for 6 hours to watch it and when i came out of the cinema i thought WOW that was one of the most amazing films i had ever seen .Now when i went to see episode 1 i came out of the same cinema all those years later and thought,
WOW that was the biggest piece of s***e ive ever seen.


just thought id get it off my chest.

What age were you when you went to see star wars?
Don`t you think the films are aimed at kids. I think most of us remember star wars so fondly was because it was a film we grew up on and at the time totally different.
I agree, Phantom menace is not as good, but my little boy thinks it`s better!

When Star Wars came out the critics panned it and an awful lot of people said it sucked. I think time has changed a lot of peoples opinions, now I`m not saying this will happen with TPM but I enjoyed it and maybe in the context of the following two films it may prove to be a scifi classic.

My age doesnt really come into it . If i had the choice of say, which dvd to buy it would be star wars over the pantom mincemeat every time.

ps i still put my old starwars vid in now and again to watch. but i dont with the fm (yes i do own it)

Sure you can`t top Empire but Phantom is easily better than Return Of The Jedi.
You have to fast forward an hour to the start of the film.
