Page 1 of crouching tiger hidden dialogue...

right, well first things first. (to me) this is one of the best damn films that i have ever seen. you could take out all of the fighting and it would still be a superb film. indeed it was so good that i saw it four times at the cinema.

so it should come as little surprise that i rushed out to get in on dvd as well. and here is the rub, the subtitles are different on the dvd to the subtitles that i saw at the cinema. has anyone else noticed this? and i know that this is a tough one to answer but in the light of strangely different subtitles are they the same on region 1 and region 2?

its not that the new subtitles offer any fundamental changes to the film but it is quite disconcerting to such a sad film fan as myself! comments please...

I noticed that with the DVD version of `Harry, He`s Here To Help`

I didn`t remember exactly the subtitles from when I saw it at the cinema, but they seemed different - more literal - than before. Oddly the subtitles on the clips in the `Making Of...` doc confirmed this, being the same as the cinema ones - and better. Maybe I should just learn a few more languages.
