Page 1 of Schwarzenegger Box-Set- Load of Rubbish!

Total Recall was a good film, but I won`t buy the box set because the other films are pants and don`t even justify being transfered to DVD.

I know it`s probably to do with distribution rights, but couldn`t a better box-set have been put together?

I mean for a start, Commando was better than Red Heat, Raw Deal and Red Sonja combined.

I think the ultimate box set should be released in the future containing:-

Terminator- SE
Terminator 2- UE
Predator
True Lies
Kindergarten Cop

What does everyone else think about the current box set? ANyone bought it?

i actually liked kindergarten cop. Commando is great. Twins was also hilarious. Add in Junior and Jingle all the way and voila you got another box set.

too right its s***e! did they think whats the worst arnie films ever made so we can make the definitave bag-of-s***e boxset?!?!

Momentum only owned the rights to:
Total Recall
Red Heat
Raw Deal
Red Sonja

They own the rigths to T2 but that dvd is having a lot of production problems and isn`t due until October.
It`s almost impossible to get distibutors in the UK to share a box with another distributor.

Another problem with setting up boxsets is that the rights to films jump around different studios a lot quicker in the UK, so mixed boxsets are avoided to prevent legal problems. (Momentum are an example of this, they brought up a large portion of Studio Canal library, which wouln`t have pleased many UK distributors (especially those who had already put time and money in to releasing dvd of those releases))

Aye but the real bitch is that Red Sonja has great charm... as far as fantasy films of my youth goes that`s right up there. BUT no way i want Red Heat or Raw Deal... and the only way to get Red Sonja is with the others... bitches.

Apparantly, there`s going to be a special edition of total recall out soon. Paul Verheoven has recently recorded a commentary track, so I`ll wait for that one.
I liked Red Heat - James Belushi made some great films around that time - I love Filofax and Mr.Destiny.
