Best soundtrack ever ... TELL US !

I would have to say my top five best soundtracks would have to be:

5) The Breakfast Club (Classic 80`s Sounds, with the memorable placed `Don`t you forget about me` SIMPLE MINDS (What happened to them, Great Band!)

4) Twin Peaks (The most Hauntingly brilliant soundtrack ever!)

3) Bottle Rocket (Great music from indie bands, very original)

2) Dazed and Confused (Classic rock tracks from the not so Classic 70`s)

1) Swingers (The best movie, the best soundtrack with no exceptions)

Tell us yours...

The Blues Brothers was one of my favourites as a kid, I used to play it endlessly. Beverly Hills Cop and The Lost Boys were faves too, although they`re very dated now. If I buy a Soundtrack CD, I want plenty of good songs on there, score on it`s own isn`t any good. It`s been ages since I bought one though.

My current rave soundtrack is the Rhino label reissue of "Superman The Movie" on 2 CDs. Never heard it better, and there`s a ton of bonus tracks including alternative mixes to the Main Theme (that does all the familiar cues in a different order) and the Flying Sequence, (including a totally cheesy disco version).

Well, it`ll keep me going to May 1st.

Assault on precinct 13 is terrific. The Thing has a stonking Bass line as well.
I also like T2, perhaps not brilliant but fits sooo well.
Having brought up the Thing what about Morricones` other great works, the Spaghetti trilogy. Absolutely stunning and unique.

My favourite has to be "Halloween" just listening to the music is scary enough on its own.

Also from a musical stand point I loved "Boogie Nights" fantastic stuff.
