Page 1 of The Fellowship Vs The Towers Vs The King (Extended or not) - your favourites.

My personal choice out of the 3 LOTR movies is, as follows:

1.) Theatrical Version of The Two Towers (Pacier and more fun than the rest)
2.) Extended Version of The Fellowship of the Ring (better editing that the theatrical)
3.) Theatrical Version of The Return of the King (although I haven`t seen the extended yet, obviously)

However for the Super Dooper Extended Versions - I`d like to see the following:

1.) The Sacking of the Shire by Saruman and Wormtongue.
2.) Tom Bombadil.
3.) Saruman and Wormtongue`s finished story.
4.) Some more of the Elvish songs

and "The Hobbit" directed by Pete.

Of course the whole thing is quality - do you have your favourites???

I love all three films but if I HAD to put them in some sort of order I would say:

1. The Two Towers (either version)
2. The Return of the KIng(same)
3. The Fellowship of the Ring (same again)

...Shop smart Shop S-MART....

Have to agree with Ozzy there:

1. The Two Towers (Extended)
2. The Return of the KIng
3. The Fellowship of the Ring (Theatrical)

Not a fan of the first film, especially the extended version, as it spent too much time with nice fluffy elves, hobbits, nattering about stuff and not enough action and drama.
TTT and ROTK however were just ruck after ruck and one hell of a ride.

magine, ROTK extended will go top once i`ve seen it - as it seems like it`ll become way more coherent a film.

Right now, I rate the films in this order:

1. FOTR
2. TTT
3. ROTK

That goes for either version of the films, although ROTK`s EE may up its placing.

I`ll start by saying I much prefer the EE of the first two films to their TC. But, here is how I rate the Theatrical Cuts:

1. ROTK
2. FOTR
3. TTT

But if I can choose any version, here they are:

1. ROTK (only seen it 4 times in the cinema, I wonder what it will be like after 14 viewings :D )
2. TTT: EE (so much richer than the TC. I can`t believe how much this improved upon the TC)
3. FOTR: EE (Still bloody good)

I hate to rank them, as it`s really one very long film.
