A non-flipper version of Starship Troopers ?

DVDan (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 8th February 2001, 00:18

A friend of mine allegedly saw a region 2 version of starship troopers that was dual layered, and not a fipper. Has anyone else seen this new edition ? Hes buying it tommorow, so I`ll see if this is for real then.

Go for the R1 version which has the nice extras. However, I was a bit dissapointed to find that the director`s commentary isn`t overlaid onto the regular soundtrack. This is really strange because at one point they start discussing a song playing at the party but you can`t hear it unless you switch soundtracks!

When I went to buy it today, I looked at the disc in the shop, and it was double sided ? so I took it back. Whats going on ?!?!

BV f#cked up again.

They have released the old dual sided discs with the new dual layer covers by mistake.

They are releasing the dual layer version in June (possible with a few extras).

DO NOT buy until then,

Best to go for the R1 version.
