Sorry to be the bearer of bad news to all you horror fiends out there,
but hot on the heels of the despicable remakes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Suspiria and (my all time fave) Dawn of the Dead, Hollywood in all its moneygrabbing, f*&**&* up wisdom is now planning a remake of The Exorcist!!!!!!!!
Pass me the sick bucket...no, wait, if if turn my head this way, I think I could puke all over Hollywood execs from little bitty England.
God I`m mad. check out the link below

Lets hope it is as easily forgotten as the remakes of Rollerball and Get Carter, to name but a few.

The worst offender of the lot is Stephen King! Why does he want to remake those classic horror films based on his novel. The shining remake was a complete bag of s***e.

Stephen King wants them remade cause the original movies have f*ck all to do with the books! And I think you`re a little confused floyd - The Kubrick version of "The Shining" was a complete bag of s***e, the mini-series ruled!!!!!

i have to agree at least in part, the mini-series was much closer to the book but i must admit i prefered the film even though i must have read the book 5 times

To re-make Dawn of the Dead is the ultimate cinematic sin!

I didn`t know about The Exorcist re-make, but I heard they are filming some sort of prequel!

WHAT!!!

Kubrick`s shining was by far better than the tv series.

I was bored rather than scared at the tv series, kubricks ending was so unexpected and so better than the original the the obvious, "don`t forget to turn the thermostat down or the whole hotel will BLOW UP, remember that BLOW UP". Gee I wonder how that tv series end.

King`s version has no subtlety whatsoever. Kubrick took all the good stuff out of the book and on to celluloid and left all the waffle where it belonged.

Sorry but you are totally wrong.
