4 discs of Evil Dead fun, with the 3 films on the first 3 (plus features from the old releases + some new ones) and the 4th disc will house an exclusive cut of the original (albeit in 1.33:1 Standard but with additional scenes and some impressive extras).

Opinions...

When is someone going to realize that the time for Evil Dead 4 is NOW?! These three have been totally milked in just about every format.

Pardon my French, in the words of Cameron, but definitive? My ass. Where is "The Gore, The Merrier" documentary that us R2-ers have still not gotten. We are in desperate need of a documentary for "Evil Dead 2".

It seems "Army of Darkness" will have only one cut and what will that be? Will Anchor Bay finally get their mitts on a new director's cut print? All the added scenes on the last edition were appalling in quality. And does that mean we won't be getting to see the S-Mart ending on this disc???

Looking at the features I see there are two commentaries on it. Which would mean we're not getting any for 2&3. Which one would assume means we're getting the theatrical cut. And the only new feature, "`Discovering Evil Dead` featurette will probably end up being 10 minutes or something.

Seriously, if this is the best Anchor Bay can do for a "Definitive" edition, they can cram it up their ass.

I suppose R1-ers will be getting a better release something later in the year.

No thanks, I have the films on DVD already, why buy a crappy set like this ;-)

Well now. I take back my previous comment. That looks like a mighty fine set. Hopefully the Director`s Cut is the cleaned up, 5.1 edition.

"Within The Woods" will probably NEVER see the light of day on DVD due to legal issues.
