Page 1 of Who framed Roger Rabbit?

Anyone know the official R2 release date? It was supposed to be June but I saw on the HMV website it was 1st September!

I think in June it is a Woolworths exclusive with it being general release in September.

Saw WFRR today in my local Woolies... according to back of box it`s a bog-standard release with **NO** extras - what happened to them??

I have the R1 release and its great. I hate being messed around with, its just greed. The R2 disc should be the same as the R1 and it should have been released in May.

1-It`s out now in Wolworths
2-There are extras on the disc, no matter what the back of the box doesn`t say
3-It isn`t anywhere near the same as the R1 Set
4-Here are the extras

+The Pig Head Deleted Scene (Good)
+The three Roger Rabbit Animated Shorts (Good)
+Who Made Roger Rabbit (OK but a little childish and annoying)
+Trouble in Toontown (Annoying for adults, too bloody difficult for kids. What was the point in taking up disc space)
+A factoid track. A bit rubbish and shallow really.
+some nice animated menus

Also on the main menu there is a Roger Rabbit symbol. One would call it a Easter Egg, but I can`t see the point. It`s just the clip from the film where Roger drinks the whiskey or whatever, What was the point.

So we are missing

+The audio commentary from the brilliant Zemekis
+A trailer?
+The Behind the Ears feature
+DTS track

admitedly one of the main reasons why the R1 was two disc was because of the odd Widescreen/Fullscreen release they insist on, but this one disc set is a bit lame really. The disc space is taken up, by, of all things, a sodding Russian Language track. Russian? Why Russian? Also, we don`t get the nice packaging from R1 either.

There are two outstanding reasons for buying this film.

So it seems the R1 version is the one to buy - isn`t R1 not as good quality as R2?

Image quality of NTSC discs is totally dependent on the encoding, your TV and your DVD Player, all the previous Vista Series DVDs I`ve seen are pin sharp in picture terms., bottom line if you want the best version of Roger Rabbit R1 is the way to go...
