The main problem with WB dvd`s is the frigging boxes they come in. They`re crap!

I know that Some Like It Hot doesn`t play on the Alba 108.
Read somewhere that WB format there DVD`s differently to others.

1.Press stop twice
2. Press ACCESS

Are these R1 DVDs? I know that some of the more recent Warner discs from R1 don`t work on certain region-modified players. I have 1 or 2 R1 discs that do this, tho they play fine on my PC...

RCE?

RCE = Region Code Enhancement as in extra check to determine that the code on the machine matches the code on the DVD. Some region free machines fail this check (mebbe coz they`re set to 0 dunno) but in some cases playing a non RCE DVD of the same region means you can then play the RCE DVD as the region entry on the machine now contains the correct code (or something like that) .

I have the same player but haven`t had any problems with WB disks. I`m sure I`ve seen a string on here specifically about AI on the Wharfedale but I`m in a rush right now so can`t search it out. My disk two takes a couple of mins before anything happens but apart from that, the only thing about WB disks that could be improved is, as pointed out above, the cheap tatty boxes.

And the fact that they release NTSC dvds in Australia
