Page 1 of What was the first Dvd you ever bought?

Back in the days when all I had to play dvd`s on was my P.C. I went out and bought "The Matrix" (Region 2) .......... what have you bought one of them for ? ...quipped "The Wife"

If only I knew back then, what I know now, I`d have bought the Region 4 version!!

The first dvd I ever bought was the original region 1 version of Highlander - note: this movie has since been deemed one of the 5 worst dvds of all time... not a good start but my 300 strong collection has improved since then (and I now own 3 versions of Highlander).

When I first bought my player, I had no experience of the format. It came with a copy of Deep blue sea, and the quality of the audio and visual content blew me away. Soon after, my missus bought me Ronin, and the Matrix, and I have become addicted ever since

My first purchase was Snatch, in may last year, i paid £26!!! from our price, the next day i discovered play and got American pie for £9.99.

Thank the internet cus i thought this new dvd player was going to cost me £26 per DVD!!

R1: Blade, August 1999. I still watch it too...

"Austin Powers the spy who shagged me", and I did`nt even have anything to play it on, "The Mummy" was next,and then got my player
about 3 weeks later.

`Fight Club` back when I only had a DVD plater on my PC, but the first one that I watched on my PC was `The Negotiator` and the quality blew me away!

Sleepy Hollow if I remember correctly, though I think I got it in a 3for2 deal at Virgin with Glory and something else.
