You have to sign up to a 12 month contract, and your first month must be for £37 (Sky World & Family Pack) although you can just change to a standard cheapo package after that.

If you don`t subscribe to Skydigital, and instead just pay £100 installation - what channels can you pick up?

I`m guessing all them digital radio channels are available for free. What else?

Oh, and what is the cheapest TV package from Sky digital, after the first month?

I`ve been watching ITVdigital for free for over a year :o)

Not all of the radio channels are free. The cheapest per month that sky do is (I belive) £10. If your only wanting to do a cheapy then get the Pace box. £99 no subscription and all the main free to air channels.

Try www.dixons.co.uk or www.comet.co.uk to check them out.

Is this offer only for ex-itv punters or can anyone apply?
Also can you definitely switch to a cheaper option before your minimum contract expires? I have had a wee look at the terms and conditions but cannot see anything to confirm or deny this.

It`s for everyone, not just itvD customers, and lasts until 30th June.

I read on the AV Forums (Home Cinema Choice Online, etc) that someone did change after a month without any hassle whatsoever from Sky.

Thanks for the info, I did not know you could change subscriptions after a month. Still seems too good to be true though.

So, to equal and exceed my ITV digital package, (I have all primary channels) I would need to pay £16 a month rather than the present £13. I actually have two ITV digital subscription - don`t laugh :~( This would of course give me extra channels and radio. Is it actually digital radio by the way? Can you get Radio 5 and 6 for example? Also do the boxes have digital output?

The installation in that event is £22. However, I am told the reception is much better.

The cons are that you have to attach the box to your phone line permanently (or is it just 12 months), your helping to boost Richard Murdoch`s bank balance and someone has to screw a bidet to the side of the house, drill holes throught the walls and fling telephone lines round the walls..

But I suppose resistance is useless!

Why is the Box attached to the Telephone line?
Does the box check it is connected to the line regularly? What happens if it isnt connected?

On a side track , does anyone know if is it possible to specifiy a Silver box?

If you order things from Sky Active then it usually has to do this by dialing through the phone line, same goes if you want to watch any of the pay per views or extra films you have to pay for. The box doesn`t have to be connected to a phone line if you dont want to have any of these extras, mine hasn`t been connected for over a year.
