Safe Door £5 Voucher

mew (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 28th March 2002, 15:45

I don`t know if this has fetured before but if you sign upto Safedoor.co.uk you can get a £5 voucher. I used mine at CDWOW and got Pink Floyd - Pulse for £3.99, it`s £24 at Amazon.co.uk.

There are various shops, including CDWOW which also sell DVD`s (region 1).

They also have a refer a freind scheme, like Amazon you and a freind get £5 each.(I won`t try refering anyone as it breaks the rules)

I did this - preordered Ocean`s 11 from CDWOW and the price came up as £4.99 through SafeDoor! Whoopee........until this morning when my account with them shows £9.99 - not bad anyway. Emailed to say that I had print of original confirmation so will wait and see. Not quite Kodak!!

I was under the impression that the sale had to be £15 or more - at least it was when I registered with them.

They have a special arrangement with CD-WOW which allows orders with minimum spend of £5.01 including the voucher. You have to signup using a link from the CD-WOW site though.

Is cd-wow`s r1 version of oceans` eleven different to that of other retailers such as play.com etc ?
CD-Wow`s appears to have a different cover and also a different aspect ratio???

Often CD-Wow`s R1 discs are Canadian : maybe that`s why ?

thx clayts just realised that!!. the cover isn`t a problem but the difference in aspect ratio is definately something to watch out for.

Just also noticed cd-wows blackhawk down is region3 which is a bit disappointing as this is normally a region I try to avoid.

Talking of Black Hawk Down, if you really want it, don`t buy it when it`s released in June. Columbia/Tristar are currently making a SE with director commentary and some other things too. Release tbc.

Could someone please tell me where this referal link is on the cd-wow website that lets you get £5 off an order over £5.01? (P.C. mentioned it in an earlier post)

When I signed up I had to spend £15.

Thanks.
