new hmv offer

mikehensby (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 19th February 2002, 21:48

Just been on the hmv website and they`ve got a new offer, 2 for £25.
Nothing special but good value for the boxsets & special editions that they`ve got such as Farscape, Lexx, Hannibal and a couple of Bruce Lee films (can`t remember which). This makes them almost BOGOF.

Popped into the London Trocadero HMV earlier on today, and it looks as if this is an instore offer as well. Mind you, I was more tempted by the Complete `Bod` at £4.99.

noticed that `together` (`tilsammans`) is included in this offer - excellent film (lukas moodysson - `show me love` (`f*cking amal`) was also his) - not seen it as cheap anywhere else.

Checked this out on Oxford Street. With the exception of the Avengers box sets, this seems to be the traditional crappy sale that follows a good one. On a quick review, a significant percentage of the 2 for £25 seems to have been in last month`s 2 for £20 or in the January sale for £9.99 - Crouching Tiger just one case in point.

The deal isn`t that bad if you buy only the two disk sets. Gladiator and Hannible are both in the offer and £25 is a lot cheaper than plays £30 for the two
