Please don`t confuse the 2 things.

Nettos are selling a DVD Recorder with built in Freeview (that means you record to DVD and can play discs back on other DVD Players)

Morgans are selling a Freeview PVR, which records to an internal Hard drive and recordings cannot be put onto a disc (unless you connect a DVD recorder to it and record in real time) or played back in any other machine.

Having said that, both are good deals.

If you are looking for a HD PVR, Microdirect have some good deals on various refurbished Digifusion models. For example the FVRT200 80GB @ £54.04.

I believe that these are the best of the budget PVRs and are proper twin-tuner models capable of simultaneously recording 2 channels and playing back a recording. The major problems they suffered was an inadequate power supply. However it seems that the refurbs are all being supplied with a better PSU. I believe that the original was around 2.5A but the refurb I just received came with a 5A unit.

I am sure that there will be other manufacturers offering similar facilities eg Pioneer, Toshiba, JVC

If it`s your first order you can get 20% off bringing the price of the Grundig GUSTB160TV down to £71.60

2 good reviews on Amazon here

Looks like the Grundigs are rebadged "It is a Vestel manufactured box. Most threads on digitalspy that have info about it are under the name Digihome / Digi Home which is the brand under which it is sold at Argos."

Bit more about Digi Home boxes here
