Free £25 Bet - This is Good

mattjenkins (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 5th March 2005, 11:41

Hi all - this is a very good offer, only open till 18th of March though. The site is www.binarybet.com and basically as long as you either bet and win at least £25, or bet and lose £25 they will put £25 cash in your account. So bet £25 on anything, and if you lose they give it back to you within 48 hours and it is yours to withdraw straight away, no minimum betting rules or anything! And if your £25 bet comes in they still give you £25 in 48 hours! Worst case scenario is you get your £25 back if you lose it - but you could always put it on a banker like Portsmouth beating Arsenal today(!)

I had a go and won £62.50 on Man City beating Norwich and then they gave me the £25 back so I had £87.50 in the account, which is now in my bank!

I`ve signed up and can usually work out how it works down at the bookies but BinaryBet seem to ahve a strange system, you don`t get shown odds just a current buy and sell price.

Can anyone try and give me a quick explanation?

Thanks, Ryan.

Cheers to the poster.

I had no idea what I was doing but I bet 0.78 on Zetas River at Newbury. My account did show £25, now it shows £88.04. Plus I guess I still have that £25 to receive. :D

Sweet!

Don`t think of yourself as an ugly person. Think of yourself as a beautiful monkey!

Well, this is different to say the least.

There is an explanation of the binary and decimal betting system on the website FAQ, but I`m still struggling to get my head round it.

This being the case, maybe I shouldn`t have paid in £25 and bet it all.

If I win anything, I might bet some on which driveres WON`T win the grand prix. There`s a good chance a German driving an Italian car will win.

I found the buy / sell confusing too so I switched the odds (prices) to decimal - which was more familiar.

evens (1/1) = 2.00
2/1 = 3.00
3/1 = 4.00
3/2 = 2.50
etc. (a / b) + 1

Lost my £25 stake on a draw in the Villa match.......hey ho.

as hong kong phooey says, if you look at the top you can change to decimal odds, which are your standard odds, but it includes return of stake, so if it says 4 that means 3 to 1. The minimum for a single is £10.

if you are interested in the binary system it works like this:

every market finishes on 0 or 100; 0 if it doesnt come in and 100 if it does. the price it offers you is the price you buy in for, so if it says 40 that is how much you can buy into the market for - so if you buy in for a pound a point you will pay £40. The market will then finish on 0 or 100. If it finishes on 100 then you win £100, if it comes in at 0 you lose 40. The good thing about it is that you can sell your position at any time. So for instance if you pay 60 that Chelsea will beat Norwich, and at 75 minutes they are one nil up, the 60 point buy in would have probably gone up to about 85 and you could sell then for that much rather than hang on for the last 15 minutes to win 100.

The minimum buy in is a pound a point. I hope that explains it!!!

To be honest the best way to do your £25 is on a single bet with decimal odds, probably on the football or something with only 2 or 3 outcomes.

Good luck!!

Depends how long you can wait - obviously it would be safe to say Chelsea will win the Premiership - however if you want it sooner, its not really a banker but at 2.8 to beat Man City tomorrow, I reckon Bolton represent good value, bearing in mind the fact that they are on great form and Man City have their best player (Shaun Wright Phillips) out injured. If you put your £25 on that you will get £70 back, plus your £25 so you will walk away with £95! However - thats my opinion, I will be backing them though.

The odds may also change from 2.8 - if you wait till 10 minutes into the game and its nil nil, they might have gone out to 3 which means you`ll get £100 at the end of it! You will also be able to see what team is playing better!

I couldn`t wait.... I have backed Everton to win this afternoon. Given Evertons good home form and Blackburns more than indifferent away form it looks ok. I would reccomend to wait! but I love a risky gamble! I will onmly win £44 which is crap.... but hey, its not my money :)
