I usually get our alkaline batteries (same as what Duracell are) from Poundland. You get a 4 pack for £1 for only £4 for 16 (usually Panasonie or similar, but so long as they`re alkaline...same spec).

The duracells work out to be £1.24 for a 4pack.
I normally get mine (panasonic M3 MAX - alkaline) from these guys. May take a while and there is some P+P to pay, but they still work out much cheaper than Duracell and are just as good (if not better). The 4 pack works out as £0.92p, if you buy bulk.
