for those of you who replyed earlyer i looked back on the web site and yes this item has been taken off but if you ring this number 0870 600 8784 they are still selling it for the £24 its the argos direct number and they just sold me another cuz my son said thats a good price i`ll have 1 but like you i went on the web site and it had gone so i rang the number off the e-mail they sent and had no problem, but they charge £3.95 for deliv still cheap at £28

I know this sounds like I am expecting a lot, but does any body know of a multi-region hack for this player.

Try using the site you are on?

1.Turn on your DVD player
2.Open disc tray either using the EJECT button on the Player or the OPEN button on the remote
3.Press 2812
4.A menu should pop up, press ENTER until 9 appears
5.Your DVD player is now region-free (you can play any countries DVD`s)

If you want to buy this as a (very) cheap DVD player , no problem , go for it.
If you intend to buy as a very cheap multi-region DVD player , then be aware of the following from the description on the website

Just been to my local store (Reading) they have fifteen in stock but in store price is £37.95!

Checked the Argos website the cat number cannot be found and the link above is also no longer working.

I wonder if you have reserved one for store pickup at £24 whether they will honour it?

Sorry should have mentioned I did last night got a reservation number and price of £24.00, but to quote Argos:

"Please note these items have not yet been paid for - the price you pay is the price in store on the day you collect."

Have also just been down there after reserving it online for £24 and when I checked the stock it came up as the normal price. Would have queried it but was really busy in store. Might have to go on the site and take a look as I remember seeing there was a footnote about a Price problem??

They(Argos) have removed it from the website,it was there earlier this morning,now it`s gone.
