I thought I saw the Godfather Box Set in my local HMV for £19.99.
Might be worth a look there before buying online?.

Well spotted Robert! Either way it`s a cracking deal for a brilliant and essential boxset (IMHO).

the choices gives the screen ratio as 1.78:1, while the play.com gives the ratio as 1.85:1 Anamorphic and also mentions a 5 disc set. The choices one seems to be a 4 disc set (going by the picture). So are the two sets the same? I have my doubts.

I wouldnt doubt Choices they are an excellent and genuine retailer, if you scan through Plays dvds you will see anomalies i.e they state Goldfinger has dolby 5.1? my special edition certainly doesn`t! Play are correct on the Godfather but i would imagine Choices have just entered the details wrong. I have just ordered the bond tin boxset from Choices and it doesnt say tin set in the description but one quick call to them clarrified that it was indeed the tin set, very happy!!

Just read the description of the set at choices direct....
"Box Set containing the three Godfather films re-edited in chronological order as one epic film."
Have there been any changes made to the original films? Or is this just a pedantic way of saying all the films are in one box and you can watch them in the right order?!
Got the boxset anyway but thought i`d ask.

No idea what this means, but judging by the picture on the site you`ll be getting the three films seperately. This `one epic film` business sounds the sort of thing they`d do for TV, but I`m pretty sure there`s been no major re-editing of the set since I got mine, which contains the three films on their own.
