RE: twilight zone - 80s

I`ve just checked Dvdpacific and they are both still £28 plus postage and custom charges. I bought them from Dvdpacific myself.

The 80s series are pretty good but none compare to the original series in my opinion.

RE: Horror films to take on camping holiday

Thanks whoot, I might try Cabin fever, I`ve not seen that one.

Horror films to take on camping holiday

Can anyone please give me any ideas on horror films to take with me on a camping holiday to play on my portable, I think it would be quite exciting to watch something like the Blair Witch Project in the middle of a forest or in a cave (sad I know).

I also vaguely remember seeing a horror film when I was a kid about people caving, I think the last scene was a head on a beach, it must have been around the mid-eighties, anyone have any ideas what film this could be?

One film I will definitely NOT be taking is Deliverance as I plan on doing some canoeing, I think that would be a little too scary :o

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

RE: A bit of a dilemma

£72

I think you may need to keep the hankies ;)

RE: A bit of a dilemma

Now you`re just being petty :D

RE: A bit of a dilemma

You don`t want to buy it from me do you Bowfer, it`s going cheap and I`ll do you free postage ;)

RE: A bit of a dilemma

Bowfer, So what should I do, accept dodgy goods just so I don`t come across as though I`m being petty or tight?

A bit of a dilemma

I recently bought a dvd from amazon market place, it was a pirate copy (if I wanted a pirate copy I would have bought from ebay).

I complained to the seller, asking for a full refund and for the money to post it back to him. The seller was very polite, claiming that he did not know it was a bootleg but accepted it was, without argument, maybe it was a genuine mistake.

My dilemma is, do I just stick the dvd in the post in a normal envelope and no postage paid, and risk it being lost in the post, I am reluctant to pay any money and be out of pocket, even if it is just a pound or so.

I gave up buying dvds from ebay a long time ago after buying quite a few `genuine R1 discs` that were blatantly pirate and then getting negative feedback for saying so.

When the Wind Blows

When the Wind Blows DVD is finally being released on 26/09/2005. :D

I`m not sure what screen ratio it was originally show in, does anybody know?

Extra features include:

`Making Of` documentary
Interview with Raymond Briggs

Brilliant, I can`t wait for this one.

RE: I D Cards

I dont want one,I wont buy one, they wont work, and they wont be able to arrest me because they wont know who the f*** I am.quote]

Lol, this id card scheme is only going to affect all those that ARE law abiding citizens, criminals, terrorists or whoever they claim are the targets of these schemes are not going to suddenly conform are they?

The same as the CSA penalises decent fathers who are already paying for their kids, many of the bad ones still get away with it. Same as somebody who does not register a car in their name, can get away without a tax, MOT and insurance, while we law abiding people can`t even keep a car untaxed on our private property without notifying the authorities. Have you had an MOT done on your car lately, they are now computerized and no doubt traceable like our vehicle tax is.

Big brother is indeed here :(

RE: I D Cards

As far as I know, you can`t be stopped buy the authorities and have to present them with your store loyalty cards.

RE: I D Cards

Once they are introduced, how long will it be before it is made a legal requirement to carry your card at ALL times, will there be spot checks and where will it all lead?

The sad thing is how many people have bought into the scaremongering propaganda and are quite happy to bend over and take it up the a£$e or are so apathetic, that they just don`t care (unless it is going to cost them a few shillings of course).

RE: Essential Horror Purchases???

Amityville Horror collection, the region 1 box set comes with the first three movies and a bonus disc. £12.90 from dvd soon.

RE: Essential Horror Purchases???

The Shining, I would also recommend Session 9, very creepy!

RE: Anyone got Malcolm in the Middle Season 1?

Yes they do make them at full price, the Malcolm in the middle set is only about £15.70 before discount, so you`ll be alright with customs on this.

RE: Anyone got Malcolm in the Middle Season 1?

I`ve got it, it`s a great dvd set, only about £15.70 from dvdsoon (less if you have the fidelity icard) and they have brought the free shipping back.

RE: What have you bought/preordered this month (April)?

I`ve been on a bit of a dvd binge the last few days:

Amityville Horror Collection
The Assassination of Richard Nixon
Beverly Hills Cop II
Blood Work/Mystic River
The Hitchhiker`s Guide to the Galaxy Special Edition (tv series)
I Heart Huckabees
Last Life in the Universe
Lemony Snicket`s A Series of Unfortunate Events
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
One Flew Over the Cuckoo`s Nest
Re-Animator: Millennium Edition
Samurai Jack Season 2
The Village
Rahxephon Complete Collection

RE: Anyone got the Ren and Stimpy boxset?

I`ve recently ordered this set too.

If you like Ren and Stimpy, maybe you`d like Invader Zim.

RE: Cheap blank dvds from here

How often do they run the 99p shipping weekends and is that 99p for shipping on anything and any quantity?

Cheers
