RE: 23RD CENTURY DVD LABEL

I got three DVD`s in Great Yarmouth (Norfolk UK) Pound store -
"His Girl Friday" with Cary Grant
"Abraham Lincoln" (D W Griffith`s)
"Horror Hotel" with Christopher Lee

All the DVD are Region 0 & say

Quote :
"Warning : The copyright owner has licensed this film on this DVD for home use only"
but if they are, then not going to put in on the box ?

There is a BBFC rating, so it look quite real.

I have also got old movie on DVD with Classic Entertainment, they have three movies on each DVD, I also got them from Poundland / 99p store, Norwich
(but I have seen them for £4:95 from play.com, I think as well).

But I did have a look for "His Girl Friday" on play.com & they DVD was Columbia Classics range for £7:99.
With Abraham Lincoln, again it look nothing like the 23rd Century copy, but could not see the company name.
With "Horror Hotel", I found it, on a three movie DVD with The Terror & The Corpse Vanishes by Classic Entertainment for £4:99.

Show how easy it is to get a copy DVD`s, but I still do not know if these are bad copy`s.
On Amazon, I found other copy of His Girl Friday by Columbia Tri-Star Home Video, Waterfall Home Ent. Int. Ltd , Imc Vision Ltd, Elstree Hill Entertainment , Delta Music Plc , Stonevision Entertainment ?
Is each of these companies licensed to make DVD`s copy of this movie ?

How can any one tell a licensed DVD from a fake unlicensed one ?

RE: MAXIM MX11-41 DVD - Hack needed to be region free

I got this player "Maxim MX11-41" from WHSmith, Great Yarmouth for £19:99.

I only just got it home, & I was looking for a something to play any region on it, but then The box says it Region 2 player, but I done whaat was said & try my only Region 3 DVD I had - The Rundown (called Welcome to The Jungle in the UK), it worked :D
Then i put a another DVD, this time Region 1 - They & it worked again.

Great for just £19:99.
