Hi nina - prob best to wait a couple of days for the letter from asa but if youre not patient enough then go for it early and if it dont work then you will get ur letter from asa. i mean i cant see the asa sending out a different letter to new peoples that complain after all we are all consumers who got disappointed by toys r us so we shd all get the same result from the asa investigation so get stuck in everyone for a nice xmas pressie :)

easy there cyberactive why would i want to con you into complaining to the ASA? so the email given by asa in their letter was wrong so what juss call her instead

Okay posted about this on MSE and decided to let you guys know as I had some nice bargains from this lovely site and especially from Reestit Mutton who is the dogs b****ks! :

heres a good deal borrowed from another forums!

xbox crystal console with sharks tale, sonic heroes and munchs odyssey (games can be sold for about £50-60 on ebay) for £89.99. this offer was so poular the store withdrew it - think it was a mistake to offer such a good deal!

anyway found out that if you ring up toys r us and ask for this bundle they will let you have it for the price as long as you complain first to the advertising standards authority.

just worked for me and i have the deal now collected from my local store in manchester -also the store let me choose halo2 instead of munchs odyssee which is out of stock so i am buzzing!

what a bargain!!!

That is a bargain! I got the same telly about 6 months ago for £200 without stand from a local shop. Its refurbished by sony and 12mth sony warranty.

To anyone who has one: When i switch it on it takes a couple secs to move off a blank screen to the tv picture and often there is a series of thin purple diagonals - this is just for a couple secs on switch on. Do you have the same issue and do i need to call sony?
