Replies to my earlier request, have got me this far. This was bought in India and won`t play anything here. Does anyone know how to hack this?

HACK WANTED FOR SONY D -V7000

A friend of mine got this from India. It won`t play anything from Blockbuster or even my Region 1 DVDs .Someone has suggested on Hardware Forum that this might be a Region 3 or 4 .

Can anyone suggest a way of getting this to work?

OK so now someone tells me it could be set to Region 3 or 4 (India?!); I didn`t know there was aRegion 3 and 4 - is this a wind up!!

If not then can someone tell me how to hack a Region 3 or 4 DVD.

SONY D-V7000 WON`T PLAY!!

A friend of mine brought back this bargain from India; it`s a small DVD player that looks standard. But so far he can`t get it to play anything from Blockbuster or any of my Region 1 or 2 DVDs, now that he is back in this country. Any ideas?
