I have to say i looked on the Play site on Boxing day before the missus got out of bed and they ahd a load of two disk sets like Top Gun / Days of Thunder and Porkys 1 & 2 for £9.99. I thought to my self i will order them tomorrow once i have been paid and when i went back on the 27th they had gone up to £14.99 and these were in exactly the same section of the sale banner

I have to say that i picked up Series one and two boxset`s from blockbusters about 6 months for a measley £12.99 each, I already had a copy of the single volumes so i sold them off and made a profit and had both series. I am still looking for a similar deal on series 3 though if anyone hears anything

Getting an XBox on Line

I have been umming and arhing about his and thought i would take the plunge. I already have a cable modem through NTL, but when i phoned them up and asked about it they said it was a £30 set-up fee and an extra £5 a month on top of the £25 i already pay. Then i would have to buy the starter kit (£35) and an online game. (£40)

What i wanted to know was

1) Is there anyway around the NTL charges such as setting up a home network or something similar??
2) What good sport games are available online on the XBox??
3) Is it worth shelling the £100+ out just to get started??

Spooks Series 1 for £17.99

Play have this for £17.99 whereas most other places i have looked are selling it for £30 plus. I have heard it compared to a british 24 but have never personally seen it, but quite a few people i know love it

Sorry mate i have been offline for a while. I believe the Halloween is a One disk but it does have a lot of Special Features and the Reservoir dogs is the bog standard one.

I got Sleeping BEauty and Robin Hood through on DVD and got a load of crap about continueing to collect. I just phoned them and said that the Web site said no obligation and that i did not want anything else coming through from time Life and the woman was very helpful and said it was a mistake on the page but i won`t receive anything after my two copies of Mary Poppins.

Yep they are i`m afraid i have bought these from Blockbusters before and some of the conditions of the ex rentals are pretty bad so make sure you check the disks when you buy them

They will be exactly the same as the ones bought from HMV etc but will not be the special editions. You will find they will just have the films and not a lot else. They released a load of this to try and sell a load of other crap titles.
