I have had no problems with Futureent, however make sure the DVD is in stock before ordering otherwise your acct is debited immediately- with some DVDs not available until March such as AI then this could prove expensive since any other these companies could go belly up. They are certainly more reliable and more accessible than Play247 - If there is a problem you can get hold of them. Regards Vern

We have a reasonably large collection of DVDs - 150 plus and yes we do have a life! We bought possibly 15 from Play247 and found that our last order was 4 wks late - also 4 wks after debiting our card - so we are using others such as Futureent until Play247 have got their postal probs sorted. Vern

Futureent.com may have it and they haven`t the same delivery probs that play247 seem to have had recently. Vern

Hi, Shrek same price (£15.99) at Futureent and it arrived in 5 days to France - package inc Lara Croft & Planet of the Apes. I have laid off Play247 till they show consistency with their deliveries. Regards Vern

They gave me the same story on the phone - 2 wks later after numerous e-mails the 2 missing DVDs arrived. 4 wks after paying for them. I am now with Futureent and after ordering 6 DVDs in the last month - that have arrived within 4 days to France - I will stick with them until they get as complacent as Play247. Regards Vern

At last it seems as if Play247 have taken note of our criticism , I will give it a couple of months and then possibly try them again - depends on the feedback here. Till then I am delighted with Futureent. Vern

I fully support the above criticism of Play247. I have now used Futureent for 3 DVDs over the last 3 wks and all have arrived in France within 4 days of our acct being debited. Play247 have no interest in any backup all they are looking at is the cash- they are not alone in looking at the bottom line but at least other companies provide a Customer Service Dept that works. I was sending most of my business to Play247 and sadly did not check price comparisons with other sites - I now do and have been surprised at the savings that you can make. Yours Vern

Same here! Started to use these guys after Play247 let us down badly - touch wood we have 2 DVDs within 3 working days of paying for them to France - cheaper too. Futureent keep it up!! Vern

I have been a happy Play247 customer this year, having purchased some 20 DVDs from them. However, over the last 2 mths their service has hit rock bottom. I had an e-mail today some 2 wks after numerous e-mails from yours truly. The DVDs in question arrived 4 wks after paying for them. There are creditable alternatives inc Encoredirect ( under new management) and Futureent - who are based in Kent and still provide DVDs at the same price as Play247. I have just rec`d a DVD 3 days after paying for it from Futureent and that is delivery to France - it was also 1 pound cheaper than Play247. Yours Vern.

Their customer service is none existent - pse see my earlier thread. I have voted with my feet , it is probably the most effective way of giving them notice their clients are unhappy; that and sending them an e-mail inc this forum`s address so they can see their problems developing! That way they have no excuse if they fold due to a shortfall of clients. Vern

Nice to see someone is pleased. I hope they will now build on this accolade and start providing a decent customer service - if they do they might get some of us back. There is a huge choice out there of Retailers, so companies cannot afford to hack off their customers.

Ply247.com not delivering?!!!

Just had 2 DVDs delivered 4 wks after debiting my bank acct. Despite 1 x telecon and loads of e-mail absolutely nothing from customer( is there such a thing at Play247?) service apart from a bland e-mail offering to help me - not them me - trace the missing package. These guys had a lot of business from me but with others like Futureent around I am going elsewhere. If Play247 cannot get their act together - vote with your keyboards. I have just ordered 3 of the 7 cancelled DVDs with Futureent and will be interested how long they take - I also saved 2 pounds against Play247 prices!! I will also probably continue with Encoredirect since they appear to have sorted their recent probs out.
